Soroptimist International of Valencia Gives back to Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center
Members of Soroptimist International of Valencia presented a check for $29,700 to the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center, a service of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. The funds represent proceeds from their 2018 “Bras for a Cause” fundraiser.
“We are so grateful to Soroptimist International of Valencia for their support every year via their biggest fundraiser,” said Marlee Lauffer, Foundation President. Funds are dedicated to providing screening and follow up services for underserved women in treatment for breast cancer. The all-volunteer group has raised upwards of $170,000 for the Breast Center since 2001.
