Welcome Fall!
The kids are back in school and fall is almost here! Fall brings cooler and shorter days and Autumn is the season full of colors, the reds, oranges, and yellows of fall leaves but also the deep colors like purple, green, and navy work as well in your color options. Now is the time to update some rooms in your house and make them a warm and welcoming space. To spice up your home give a splash of color by swapping out pillows for richer ones in luxe velvet and in fall shades, add a few decorating throws and get ready to snuggle up by the fire. Change out pictures, pillows, and add elements to welcome fall into your living quarters. Use tall vases on the table with fall inspired fruit and leaves for a dramatic look. Make sure you have adequate lighting to any work or reading area. Add a pillow, throw or even reupholster a chair for obvious impact. Slipcovers are a great way to revamp a chair.
Don’t forget your front door, freshen it up with piles of pumpkins, gourds and potted plants and mums and welcome in your guests!
Your bedroom can be the most forgotten room in your home but it is the one space that needs recharging. By simply redoing a duvet and adding new pillow shams in fall colors then you are on your way to the new season. Fall colors are more calming hues that bring warmth into your rooms. Fabrics that have warm, rosy glows to them like red browns could certainly be used and fabrics with reddish tones would complement wood. A velvet comforter and satin pillows would make your bedroom come to life.
