A Warm “Thank You” for Our Military
Annual Santa Clarita program begins October 1! A wonderful winter program for community members to show their appreciation to our local military, including active duty service members, and veterans – especially those that are disabled, hospitalized, elderly. or in need.
A heartfelt “Thank You” with a simple winter scarf, beanie, or a warm blanket. Or make a Holiday Dinner Basket with fixins to prepare a special meal. The annual patriotic drive is sponsored by the local non-profit Prayer Angels for the Military, and has become another popular way to show gratitude to our military. Handmade or store-bought blankets, throws, quilts and afghans are being requested. All sizes are needed, along with winter scarves and beanies. Attach your label or include a card or letter of appreciation. These gifts of comfort will be presented to hometown veterans and shipped out to local deployed troops. Gift cards are also requested and always a welcome site for a veteran in need. Cards for local stores, markets, fast food & restaurants, and gas cards are a blessing. Prayer Angels for the Military, local 501(c)3 non-profit, organizing community support for hometown troops and veterans for over 15 years.
