13th Annual Golf Tournament
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Foundation held its 13th Annual Golf Tournament on September 23rd at the Valencia Country Club. The event was a huge success. Mike DeLorenzo, President, Santa Clarita Studios, served as this year’s golf tournament Chair. One hundred and forty-four golfers enjoyed the beautiful weather as well as challenging and entertaining activities at some of the holes, which included an opportunity to hit a retired patrol car off the tee with a golf ball! Members of the Los Angeles Lakers Cheer Team were also in attendance to cheer on the golfers.
This year Ken Wiseman, founder of the Golf Tournament, member of the Search & Rescue Team and retiring Sheriff’s Foundation President was honored at the golf tournament dinner for his dedication and service to Search and Rescue and the Sheriff’s Foundation.
Funds raised help provide needed equipment, training, and technology for deputies and the sheriff’s station. The Foundation also provides scholarship’s for students pursuing a career in law enforcement.
