Assistance League® Santa Clarita Says Thank You
This month we would like to extend our thanks to the many donors who made our 2nd Annual “A Day of Art” such a grand success. Throughout the year we receive donations of artwork of all descriptions, covering all art media. We save them and present them for sale at Assistance League Resale the second Sunday in November.
We receive most donations at our back door, given by generous people who are frequently not known to us. Often, we do not realize the value of an art piece until we have done some in-depth research. Sometimes we are shocked by the generosity of the donor, but by then, it is too late to express the thanks commensurate with the donation.
So please let us take this opportunity to thank our donors who brought us artwork for “A Day of Art.” We say thank you to all who donate and help us fill our store with many useful and unique items of all descriptions. Your generosity helps to fund the philanthropic programs that benefit people in our community. Because of you, thousands of Santa Clarita public school students have received new school clothes and shoes during the past two months. Students needing eye examinations and eyeglasses have received them at no cost and are seeing clearly for the first time. This was accomplished through our Operation School Bell® program.
December is a time we think of giving. Assistance League member/volunteers thank you for giving to us all year long. For more information visit: www.assistanceleaguesantaclarita.org.
