Come See Where Your Child Belongs
Students aspiring to academic excellence are welcome at the Newhall School District (NSD), where they will become global citizens who think critically, solve problems, persevere, embrace diversity in people and viewpoints, and have a passion for learning and the arts.
Prospective families interested in learning about NSD’s award-winning schools are invited to an Open House on Thursday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at Wiley Canyon Elementary School, located at 24240 W. La Glorita Circle, Santa Clarita.
Families are encouraged to come learn first-hand how NSD establishes collaborative, innovative classrooms and consistent academic excellence across ten elementary schools: McGrath, Meadows, Newhall, Oak Hills, Old Orchard, Peachland, Pico Canyon, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia Valley, and Wiley Canyon. Attending parents and caretakers will have the opportunity to meet some of the dedicated and passionate faculty and staff who contribute to the NSD distinctive.
NSD strives to mold students into well-rounded individuals who are prepared for future learning and curious about the world around them. Among the many cutting-edge programs offered at NSD, students have the opportunity to join the dual language immersion program, where they begin learning the Spanish language from a young age.
According to the 2019 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress Results, Newhall School District students consistently scored higher than other districts in the region and across the state. The results of this assessment revealed the percentage of students that met or exceeded standards in math and English language arts.
