Looking for Their Forever Home – January 2020

The Brittany Foundation is a non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.

They tell me I am the definition of athletic. If you think standing box jumps are impressive, wait until you see mine, last measured at 32 inches! Needless to say, I have been voted “Most Athletic”. I am three years old, eager to walk but am also a bit of a lap dog. Most afternoons you can find me snuggled up in the arms of my favorite staff members. I would do well with an active person or family but am perfectly happy snuggling on the couch too. While I am a mixed breed, a portion of my breed (Vizsla) is rare, we are considered loyal, active, sporting dogs that have the unique attribute of family companions. Check out my sister Violet and brother Sonny who are also here waiting for their forever families.

If your New Year’s Resolution is to be more active, I am the one for you. I love to hike and go for long walks. I am strong, athletic and protective of those I love. I can be a bit rambunctious in a “I am so excited” kind of way but I really am just so happy all the time it’s hard to contain it. I love snuggles, belly rubs and watch out I am a sneaky kisser! I was pulled from a high kill shelter, and for a brief time I did get to live in a home with my best friends Oreo and Lady before our foster family was forced to give us up. They both found their forever families in December and I sure hope I am next. I’m a female about five years old.

If you love to run, hike or walk a few miles a day I would make a great workout partner. I am still young at only three years and have a lot of energy so it would be great if you do too. I have a bit of a hunters instinct due to my breed (part Vizsla) but now love meeting new people and I am very loyal to those I trust. So, I promise to protect your home from the UPS driver but to love the people in it. My brother Red and sister Violet are also here waiting for their forever homes.

I also made a guest appearance on The Hallmark Channel this year so if you are looking for a star, look no further. I have a great deal of energy so activity is essential to my well-being and a yard to run around in, well that would be the icing on the cake. I was fortunate to have lived in a loving home for many years but my human family became ill and could no longer care for me so that is why I am here. I get along with other dogs, new people and kids so if you are looking for a loving, spunky, curious protector, I am the girl for you.”
