Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Round-Up Week
Saugus Union School District Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Round-Up Week begins this year on February 24 and runs through March 2 and invites parents who are new to the area and new to the district, to register their prospective kindergartner or TK student or the 2020/2021 school year. Starting on the February 14th, parents can use the Online Registration Tool in Infinite Campus.
If you currently have students in the district, please use the parent portal to register your incoming kindergarten/TK student.
Using this link (https://saugusca.infinitecampus.org/campus/OLRLoginKiosk/saugus) or visit your home school to use a kiosk. After completing the process, retain your application confirmation number for future use, as well as a printed copy of the application. You will need to bring this along with your proof of residency (see accompanying ad for more specific details) to your home school during round-up week to complete the enrollment process.
Hours of registration vary from school to school, please contact local school offices for more information. If there is uncertainty as to your home school, contact the district office at 661-294-5300, ext. 5174 for assistance.
Additionally, Saugus Union School District is proud to offer a Dual Language Immersion program in Spanish, beginning in the 2020/2021 school year for entering kindergarten students!
A Dual Language Immersion program is a form of bilingual education in which students are taught literacy and content in two languages. Dual Language Immersion programs foster bilingualism, biliteracy, enhanced awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, and high levels of academic achievement through instruction in two languages.
The program will be housed at Highlands Elementary and will serve, to begin, 50 kindergarten students. Transfers within the district as well as from other area districts are welcome for this program. Please contact the district office for more information.
Meetings to discuss the program will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, January 31 at 9 a.m. at Highlands Elementary, 27332 Catala Avenue, Saugus. You can also join at Cedarcreek Elementary, 27792 Camp Plenty Rd, Canyon Country on Wednesday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m. or Thursday, February 6 at 9 a.m. The public is welcome.
