St. Clare’s Has the Best Catch of the Day!
The folks at St. Clare are excited about their 42nd year of serving up the legendary fish dinners that continue to reel in the community! This year’s series of six Lenten fish fries got underway on February 28th and continues each Friday through April 3rd from 4:30-8:00 p.m. in the church hall.
The traditional and very popular two or three-piece beer-battered cod fish dinners are served with coleslaw and a choice of French fries, rice pilaf or beans, and fresh rolls. An option is two fish tacos, served with rice and beans. Coffee, tea or milk are included.
The Knights of Columbus man the bar…wine, beer, soft drinks and margaritas are available! The lure of the dessert table hooks diners looking for a sweet treat. The Wives of the Knights of Columbus, The Sower & RCIA groups, Mission Circle, The Spanish Ministry, Cub and Boy Scouts and the Altar Society each have a week to showcase their specialties.
These legendary fish dinners benefit the Bridge to Home, SCV Food Pantry, the San Fernando Valley Family Counseling Center, SCV Pregnancy Center, the Archdiocese of the Military and individuals who need assistance.
St. Clare’s is THE place to be on Friday nights during Lent. Along with great food, diners run into friends and acquaintances from our valley and beyond. Please join us! Dine in, dine outside on the patio or order take out.
Cost: $11.00 for the 2-piece dinner or the 2-taco plate; $12.00 for the 3-piece dinner. Credit cards are now accepted.
We’ve caught our limit, so we have plenty of fish for you! St. Clare’s is located at 19606 Calla Way in Canyon Country. For more information visit www.st-clare.org or call 661-252-3353.
