Going Above and Beyond for our Community – WeGO SCV
During the last few months our local medical facility, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital has been on the forefront of keeping our community healthy. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 our medical officials are working nonstop in order to do their part in treating COVID-19 patients while continuing regular operations as a trauma one facility. Recently, many businesses and non-profit organizations have showed their appreciation by donating food, masks, and other necessities to keep operations going. Three local business came together and provided the healthcare organization with 200 pizzas that were delivered by WeGo SCV. This new local delivery company has been not only been keeping our community fed with speedy delivery but the owner, Rob Gardner has been working with other organizations to show support during the COVID-19 pandemic. From the fire stations to the maternity wards, WeGo SCV gives back to the community.” We have done nine other drop-offs to first responders and essential businesses, our main priority is to support the community in any way we can” commented Noah Alverez Co-owner. “During this time, we have been offering free delivery from all of our restaurants; “Our small business community is suffering so we want to try and do as much as we can to incentivize the community to support them,” commented Rob Gardner owner.
WeGo SCV charges a lot less commission than their competitors and have also started other services such as grocery shopping. “We do grocery shopping as well, for much less commission than our competitors,” Rob added. Through the end of April, they offered free shopping and delivery to elderly and disadvantage residents in the Santa Clarita Valley. “Santa Clarita is our home and we want to do as much as we can in this pandemic.”
