Luna
“The volunteers think I may be a Jindo which is of Korean descent and is a well-proportioned, medium-sized dog used for hunting and guarding. The Jindo is brave, alert, careful and not easily tempted. And so far, they say this is right on. I am at The Brittany Foundation because my human family was unable to keep me safe and I kept wandering off. They think I am about 5 years old but have the energy of a 2 year old so I need long walks and hikes because they are critical to my physical and mental well-being. I will need an adopter that has experience with my specific breed or who has had experience with other breeds that have similar traits. Are you that person who is willing to give it a go with me?”

Sonny
“If you love to run, hike or walk a few miles a day I would love to tag along. I am still young at only 4 and they think I’m Chihuahua with a splash of Vizsla. I have a lot of energy so it would be great if you do too. I have a bit of a hunter’s instinct due to my breed. I love meeting new people and I am very affectionate to those I trust. So I promise to protect your home from the UPS driver but to love the people in it. I have been here for over 3 years with my brother Red and my sister Violet but they just found their forever families so I sure hope my turn is coming soon.”

Mila
“I was pulled from a high-kill shelter, and for a brief time I did get to live in a home with my best friends, Oreo and Lady, before our foster family was forced to give us up. Oreo and Lady both found their forever families and now I hope someone will be coming for me soon. I love to hike and go for long walks. They think I am about 5 years old and maybe a Chihuahua and mini Lab mix. But it doesn’t matter. I am who I am, which is strong, athletic and protective of those I love. I need some training because I can be a bit rambunctious in an “I am so excited” kinda way but really, I’m just so happy all the time, it’s hard to contain it. Once I know you it’s all love and belly rubs. If you are looking for a workout buddy, then I’m the girl for you”

Tuesday & Widget
“We were adopted by a wonderful woman many years ago from The Brittany Foundation but she has recently fallen ill and was no longer able to care of us so she brought us back here because she knew we would be safe and loved. Widget is a 4 pound, 17 year old Papillon who is loads of fun, energetic and is happiest in the arms of a person. Tuesday is a 12 year old adorable tiny Terrier that is a bit shy and relies on Widget to gauge the room but once she opens up you’ll see just how special she is too. This delightful senior bonded duo would love to spend their golden years in a loving home and preferably on your lap. Do you have room in your heart for this precious pair?”
