We Miss Our Customers!
When it became necessary to temporarily close Assistance League ® Resale, one of our members looked around and stated that our displays have not changed, but the world has. We find ourselves living in an uncharted time of uncertainty. We originally thought we would have to be closed for two weeks, but the time continues to be extended for public health and safety. We assure our customers that our store will be a Main Street presence as soon as it is possible.
Many of my friends and I are cleaning out our closets and cupboards to occupy our time at home. I am finding things that I know my family will never be able to use, but I am sure these items will be useful to others. I ask that as you are accumulating items that you want to donate, you will consider bringing them to us, the volunteers at Assistance League Resale. Our donors at our back door bringing us their gently used clothing and other items, and then our enthusiastic shoppers purchasing those donated things, make our business possible. We will need your donations as soon as we can reopen.
All the proceeds from our store remain in the Santa Clarita community. Assistance League chapters follow the mission statement from National Assistance League®: Assistance League volunteers transforming the lives of children and adults through community programs.
Each fall our Operation School Bell® program purchases new school clothes and shoes for students in need in our valley. Free eye examinations and eyeglasses are provided for students whose families cannot afford to pay for those needs. With the economic blow coronavirus has dealt to so many, Assistance League Santa Clarita anticipates that the needs of families will be great this fall. Last year we served approximately 2300 students. We always strive to have the financial ability to serve more. Being closed during this time has affected our finances too. Please help us to help our community by bringing us your gently used items as soon as our store can reopen. Thank you for partnering with us. We appreciate and miss seeing all our customers, both donors and shoppers.
