Embracing Diversity
The mission of every staff member, teacher, and parent in the Newhall School District is the same when it comes to the education of the children we serve. Upon finishing at one of our ten award winning schools, Newhall School District Students will become global citizens who think critically, solve problems, embrace diversity in people and viewpoints, and have a passion for learning and the arts.
When creating our mission statement, we included, what we believe are, the key components to not only providing your child with an excellent education, but also preparing them for a successful future. We work to teach our students to think critically, to have an open mind, and to never stop learning.
As the 2020 school year has presented us with circumstances that we had never before faced, we too used our mission as a guide to navigate the uncertainty and to persevere through each trial we faced. And we have become better educators and better people for it.
If nothing else, the world’s events this year have reiterated the importance of thinking critically to solve problems, adapting to change, and embracing diversity in people, viewpoints, and situations. These events have reminded us to remain steadfast in our mission and reinforced that the work we do today will create a better future for tomorrow.
Students who leave the Newhall School District will become scientists, doctors, nurses, activists, teachers, and so many other professions who will work to make the world a better place. It is never too late to start learning, and it is never too early to start preparing your child for success.
Enrollment in the Newhall School District is open to all, and we welcome the opportunity to share our mission of embracing diversity and thinking critically with you and your child! Contact Rosana Valadez at (661)291-4163 for enrollment information.
