“I have been patiently waiting for my forever person and I wonder when they will be coming? I love to hike and go for long walks. I am strong, athletic and protective of those I love. They think I am about 6 years old but have the energy of a 3 year old and weigh about 30 lbs. I get along great with dogs my own size or smaller. I can be a bit rambunctious in a “I am so excited” kinda way but I really am just so happy all the time it’s hard to contain it. I was pulled from a high kill shelter, and for a brief time I did get to live in a home with my best friends Oreo and Lady before our foster family was forced to give us up. They have both since found their forever families and my roommate just found his so I am all alone again. I promise you will never know a day without love if you pick me.”
JAKE
“I lived in a home for over 8 years before my family gave me up. I have now been at The Brittany Foundation for almost two years and while I am well taken care of here, I would love nothing more than a home and person of my own. I am definitely a people person and need to be your whole world, so a home with no other dogs or children is where I will do best. I mostly like to lounge on my couch and chew on my Nylabones so I promise I won’t be much trouble at all. I still have a good amount of energy so I will need a couple of walks a day but not too long. I am a senior after all . After our walks you can expect this 80 pounds of love to sit snuggly in your lap or at least give it a really good try.”
KING
“A few weeks ago I was Palmdale Animal Shelter’s longest resident and running out of time but now I am safe at The Brittany Foundation and have received the medical attention I so needed. I just got the all clear, so I am ready for my forever home! They say I am 12 but the only way you would know that is because my face is a little frosty. I walk, play and have the energy of a dog half my age. I love my long walks with the volunteers here and most afternoons I can be found snoring on my couch. I am definitely a people person and would love to find a hiker, runner or just someone who likes to log a lot of miles! I may be a considered a bully breed but I am a huge softy. They do, however, think I would do best in an adult only house as the only furry family member.”
TOMMY
“As you can see I am absolutely adorable but the looks department has never been my challenge. They think I am mostly Jack Russell, about 6 years old and weigh about 9 lbs. I took a very long time to learn to trust people and I am still hesitant around new people. I am looking for an experienced adopter who is willing to show me the love, time and kindness I need to live my best life. I like to go for short walks, get along great with other dogs my own size and have never shown any signs of aggression. If you have the time and are willing to take a chance on me I can tell you it will not be easy but I believe it will be well worth it!”
