With a career that has spanned over two decades, Dr. Tony Avakian has set the standard for patient care as the owner and operator of Valencia Foot and Ankle Center. Originally from Washington DC, Dr. Avakian always knew he wanted to work in the medical field with a concentration in sports medicine, taking inspiration from a chance encounter in his youth. “I had foot issues when I was younger, eventually the specialist that healed my problem was a podiatrist.” During his formal education years, he began his family. “I met my wife and we had our children, then I went to medical school, it had its challenges, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
At Valencia Foot and Ankle Center everything relating to podiatry is available to patients and so much more. Valencia Foot and ankle Center stays up on the latest education and technology to ensure patients are getting the best outcomes. “We use procedures such as stem cell treatments and platelet injections which are a good tool to prevent surgery and have seen a 90 percent success rate.” Recently, Dr. Avakian began providing the LUNULA laser therapy to treat toenail funguses. “This machine has a 95 percent success rate and requires only 12 minutes of treatment that is painless with no side effects.” When it comes to patient care Dr. Avakian has set the standard very high as he treats every patient as family.
