S.T.R.E.A.M World!
S.T.R.E.A.M. Global Innovations has created an educational platform for people to host classes and events with S.T.R.E.A.M World. This virtual world allows participants to the create their own avatars with a wide variety of hair, skin tones, and features. “We want to really be inclusive in this world, so we made sure that we provided several characteristics for you to be you, “commented Niamani Knight, founder. The world has several areas for participants to utilize. “Aligning with our mission we have created a safe space for companies, education institutions, musicians and more, to host booths, trainings, and events in a virtual space from anywhere in the world,” stated president Nikia Richards. To kick of this new platform S.T.R.E.A.M Global Innovations hosted its first virtual event, the Diversity in S.T.R.E.A.M Summit, on July 31, 2020. The one-day virtual summit offered opportunities for high school, college students (including trade schools and resource programs), and professionals to learn and interact together, irrespective of their location. The summit was designed to spotlight how companies highlight diversity and aims to tackle the relationship between education access barriers and skills divide. From fireside chats on topics like the Importance of Diversity in a Global Company to conversations with Diversity & Inclusion Officers and panels led by NextGen visionaries, the conference was a place where youth and business leaders came together to discuss how to become effective world changers.
