Monte
“I am here because my family thought I got too old. Boy, would they be surprised to see me now. I was just chosen to be in a commercial for a Target because they were specifically looking for a “Tongue Out Champion”. I am about 12 years old and I’ve lost most of my teeth but that doesn’t slow me down from being first in line when it’s treat time. I am a little shy at first but I make it my job here to guard the senior little dogs and they all seem to appreciate my efforts. Do you have room in your life for a saucy, reigning ‘Tongue Out Champion’ like me?”

Dirk
“ ‘That face’, that’s what I hear all of the staff members say, so I think it means I am pretty darn cute. But obviously looks have never been a challenge for me, however trusting people is. I am looking for a person who can really help me overcome my fears so I can truly enjoy life. So a little more about me, I am about 8 years old, I get along great with other dogs my own size, I am comfortable with kids, I am working on potty training, I am excellent on a leash and love to go for walks but I am not yet comfortable with people petting me or picking me up. I am not aggressive at all just scared. I need help.” If you have experience with dogs like Dirk and are interested in adopting him please email us. Dirk is currently living in a foster home in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Zoey
“ ‘You are Gorgeous!’ That’s what I hear everybody say, so it must be true. I am still young at a little over a year so I need some work in terms of training. I did get to live in a home for a few weeks but unfortunately I did not do well with the smaller dog in the house so I was returned back to The Brittany Foundation.
I have a great deal of energy, can easily climb and jump so I will need a lot of exercise, a good size yard and should be the only dog in the house. The volunteers here say I love every person I meet and walk pretty well on a leash. I still need some work which is to be expected since I am just a pup after all. I am stunning, happy and really want my next stop to be my forever home.”

Piper
I was dropped off at a kill shelter and told by my previous family that I should be put down. Luckily for me a kind animal advocate saw me and facilitated getting me to The Brittany Foundation. As you can see I am a itty bitty cutie who still has lots of life yet to live. They think I am about 8 and a Miniature Pinscher. I seem to adore every person I meet and get along great with dogs my own size. My knees are a little wobbly but I do not need surgery and I have a slight heart murmur but I do not need medicine for it that either. I am already a volunteer favorite and they say anyone who gets me will be so lucky because I am such a joy to be around. Do you have room in your heart and home for a lovable older gal like me?
