The State of Construction
2020 has been an interesting year to say the least, and we are only halfway through! As rules, regulations, and daily life have seemed to be in turmoil, the State of Construction for Southern California has remained resilient.
In March, when California issued the Safer at Home order, construction was deemed an essential industry and permitted to keep working. This was a privilege to our industry, but it did not go without its trials. The uncertainty of the future keeps us on our toes as we navigate the murky waters of COVID-19.
For the last three decades, when it comes to my business and to my life, I always try to take things as they come and find a way to make the best of them. This situation was no different as we have had to learn how to adapt. By having weekly safety meetings as required by CALOSHA for the past 30 years, it was an easy transition implementing the additional requirements mandated by the Public Health Directors for Los Angeles County.
Being an essential industry gave me cause to really look at my business and what we do. We saw this as a reason to look within our company and define what it is that sets us apart from other contractors and construction companies.
And what we found is that when you work with Randal G. Winter Construction, you are working with more than just a contractor to remodel your home. You are working with a team of expert craftsmen who have a true passion for what they do. You are partnering with industry experts who, above all else, care about you, your safety, and your happiness.
As safety concerns became prominent for so many companies, we took the time to evaluate our safety procedures as well. Safety has always been our main priority as the construction industry has hazards all its own. The safety of our clients and their pets, the safety of our team, and the safety of our community has always been, and will always be, at the forefront of our mind.
Throughout these times, we have seen that the construction industry has not incurred the slowdown that has impacted so many other industries – in large part because we are fortunate to be able to remain open, but also because remodeling your home does so much more than just give you a new space to call yours.
Remodeling a home brings an excitement of new beginnings; It brings a freshness of a clean slate and new palate; It brings a renewed sense of calm to an otherwise chaotic world; And it brings that vacation relaxation feeling right into your home.
When the rest of the country is on lockdown, and these feelings can no longer be found in the outside world, Randal G. Winter Constructions will create this for you from the comfort, safety, and security of your own home. As we have said in the past, we do more than just build things out of lumber and other raw materials, we bring dreams to life. Now is the time to imagine the home of your dreams.
We encourage you to visit us online at www.rgwinter.com to see our work or call us today at(661)799-8089 to virtually meet our team. Let’s build your dreams and turn your house into a home together.
