Back to School
Back to school in the time of COVID-19. This year’s first day of school looked different than any before, but it is also serving as a source of inspiration, innovation, and motivation for the staff and teachers of the Newhall School District, and we are working to pass that along to our students and their families.
The tumultuous times we have encountered since March have been cause for us to evaluate our learning models. We have used this as an opportunity to inspire the love of learning in our students while also teaching them the importance of the ability to adapt. And at the same time, it has given our teachers the opportunity to create new and innovative ways of teaching.
They have used the summer to make adjustments to their teaching practices in order to best connect with their school students through a screen and communicate with them in a way that they not only understand but can learn from. Our teachers have used this as an opportunity to improve their teaching models and found a new motivation to improve student learning outcomes. They have done a tremendous job at it, and though it has not been easy, it will be worth it as we see our students benefit from their time and effort.
At the Newhall School District, we look for the silver lining in every situation and this is no different. We are taking the circumstances we face and using them as a unique opportunity to teach our students diversity in learning. Life is not always what we expect it to be, and the digital return to school we are experiencing is allowing us to guide our students through a situation where they are forced to adapt.
Enroll your student in the Newhall School District’s distance learning program and allow them to experience the benefits of an award-winning education from dedicated teachers, staff and administration. Enrollment is open to all and we welcome you and your students to join the Newhall School District.
