Helping Teens & Families For 20 Years
Insight treatment recently opened its fourth facility in the Santa Clarita Valley to carry on its proud tradition of over 20 years serving at-risk teens and their families. Our intensive outpatient program has always believed that the way to help the teen is to help the family and we work hard to make sure that each member of the family feels the support of our team while with us. There are not many insurance-based programs that provide the level of support and care that Insight provides but it is of our experience and confidence in our model that makes it work.
Providing Academic Support Program and Intensive Outpatient Support for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Issues.
Insight, as a program, provides both an academic support program during the day and intensive outpatient support for mental health and substance abuse issues. Now, more than ever, we find that families are reaching out to us for both the after-school mental health support and the day academic support program option as teens are becoming more and more lonely and isolated due to remote learning.
It is hard for teens to adapt to the ongoing requirements of distance learning for many reasons that include a need to socialize with their friends and the importance of in-person access to teachers and support staff. We encourage our teens to come in for our day program which focuses on support for academic issues to work with the academic counselors for the much needed in-person encouragement and also to be around their Insight peers to reduce feelings of social isolation.
Each of our Insight facilities; Van Nuys, El Segundo, Pasadena, and Santa Clarita are based upon the model of family support and establishing a health community for each of our families during the 12-month model. Repeatedly, we see that our teens flourish in the program with the love and support of the team and the structure of treatment that includes 4 days a week of intensive outpatient programming, weekend fellowship, individual and family therapy, and off-site activities. For example, we believe that kids need to be kids. This is why at least once every three months we take the teens to an off-site weekend such as to Avalon or Big Bear with their peers. This experience has proven to be instrumental to their change as it brings a sense of normalcy to a world that really hasn’t felt normal for a while for many of the kids.
Kids that come in with mental health and substance abuse struggles leave our program with a path to their next life steps and the support of their parents for that experience. Insight prides itself on offering a free assessment for families and teens who are interested in our services. Please call 1-888-295-9995.
