Karla Waymire Campaign for SCV Water Agency, Division 1
On August 5th, while in the company of her family, her parents and her closest friends, Karla announced her candidacy for SCV Water Agency Division 1. Her announcement was fueled by a firm and heartfelt commitment to winning in November and serving the residents of our beautiful valley. Karla has clear goals and wholeheartedly believes in the mission statement of the SCV Water Agency. Her beliefs are simple. She wants the families of the Santa Clarita Valley to continue to have reliable access to clean and affordable water and if elected, she will dedicate herself to serving that mission.
Karla graduated with honors from Cal Poly, Pomona where she majored in Political Science and took a particular interest in environmental law. She then continued her studies at Southwestern Law School, where she continued to educate herself on environmental issues, water rights, and property law. Karla now spends her days raising her children and serving her clients as an attorney and founder of her own firm.
As a first-generation American and the daughter of loving immigrant parents, Karla’s lifelong dream was to have a family of her own. Karla and her husband Jonathan are blessed with two young children and take great pride in instilling family values and a sense of community in them. Karla’s husband, Jonathan, was raised in Santa Clarita, is a devout public servant, and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Karla dedicates countless hours to pro bono work for low-income and struggling citizens who need a helping hand and stands by military and first responders by providing reduced-rate legal services to them and their families.
Karla and Jonathan proudly call Santa Clarita home and look forward to raising their children in this community for many years to come.
