The New School Year
As we settle into this new school year and the uncertainty that comes with it, our commitment to providing our students with support and an unparalleled education remains the same. We understand that starting the school year in the distance learning format has been very challenging and please trust us when we say it is not what we wanted either. But the health and safety of our students is always our main priority and we will do whatever it takes to keep our community well.
The first day of school is supposed to be filled with excitement, an eagerness to learn, and even a few nerves. This year, as the Newhall School District community logged on, we still felt those emotions, but we had one more challenge to overcome – the computer.
We want our students, staff, teachers, and parents to know how much we miss you and how much we care about you. We are here for you, and we will always be available to you to assist with technology questions, provide support as you navigate at home learning, and answer any and all questions that you have about your child’s education.
We applaud our teachers and their innovative lesson plans that have been created to engage the students via Google Meets or Zoom. To form a connection with an entirely new class over a screen is no easy feat, but our teachers have stepped up and accepted the challenge with open arms.
And we applaud you, our Newhall School District parents, for stepping up and becoming an elementary school teacher in a sense. Please know that you are doing an incredible job, and you are not alone.
The Newhall School District is one big family and we cannot wait to be together as a family again but until then, we will provide support from a distance. Welcome back to school Newhall!
Enrollment in the Newhall School District is currently open to all students. We welcome you to join our family as we provide your child with an award-winning education. To learn more about enrollment please contact Rosana Valadez at 661-291-4163.
