Trick or Treat!
Because of Covid-19 there may not be public trick or treating this year, but The Gentle Barn is here to save the day. Come trick or treat with us! We have put together a Covid safe, immersive, drive thru, trick or treat experience from the last week of September through the first week of November, that will delight the whole family! We will have decorations, candy, lunch, and of course our adorable rescued animals that you get to see from the comfort and safety of your own car. Come in costume and be part of our gentle family this Halloween! For tickets and more info, go to www.gentlebarn.org
Over the last six months we’ve had to roll with the punches, thinking up new and exciting ways to continue our programs virtually, bring in funds to operate the organization, maintain our staff, and continue caring for nearly 200 rescued animals in three states. We have launched our virtual field trips, tours, zoom hacks, birthday parties, and science classes. And we have started our Gentle Drive-Thru where people listen to immersive audio recordings about the organization and the animals, eat lunch while playing a search and find with the cows, drive by our beautiful animals and watch them play, and leave a wish on a provided rock at our wishing well.
For a more mature audience, we’re going to have a Halloween drive through experience called The Haunted Barnyard: Land of Nightmares with professional sets, scarers, makeup, and animatronics for ten days leading up to and including Halloween night and even a couple of days after. This terrifying event will be sure to thrill and scare the socks off of you and the other victims in your vehicle!
Get out of the house, have fun, and spend time with your loved ones, connect with the healing of our gentle property, the magic of our animals, and the joy in coming together as a community in a safe and healthy way. We hope to see you very soon. Check out www.gentlebarn.org and come get some hope, happiness and maybe a little scare.
