Being Thankful In An Unlikely Year
November is the time to look around and be thankful for all that you have. Though this year was unlike any other, we are still thankful for so many things. We choose to look at this year for what it has given us, not what it has taken away.
We are thankful for the opportunity to be innovative in how we connect with and teach our students. Our students are learning valuable skills on how to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, and our teachers have done an incredible job at connecting real-world events to their daily lessons that students can understand.
We are grateful for the resources we have been able to provide to our Newhall School District families. From the distribution of free school lunches, to the lending of student devices, subsidizing childcare, we are so glad that we have the ability to help our students and their families – even from a distance.
We are proud to see how the Newhall School District has come together to help one another all with the goal of benefiting our students. From the parents who have taken on the extra role of teacher, to the teachers who have transformed their teaching, and the support staff and administrators who have worked tirelessly to comply with the health and safety guidelines, every single person has made a tremendous difference for our students and their education. It is truly about doing whatever it takes!
2020 has been a challenging year but at the Newhall School District, we see these challenges as opportunities to grow and learn.
Enrollment is now open, and we would be thankful for the chance to provide your child with an award-winning education from one of our ten nationally distinguished schools.
