The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – November 2020
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
OREO
This sweet shy 6 year old Chihuahua mix has been through so much. Unfortunately, her family lost their home and had no choice but to find the safest place for her. She is starting to open up to the volunteers here and seems comfortable with other dogs her own size. She had never been on a leash so we are working through that with her and she seems to really enjoy her walks now. She loves to sit and snuggle but is not quick to give out love to those she doesn’t know. The only world she has ever known has been turned upside down so who could blame her. Do you have room in your heart and life for this little angel who deserves a second chance?
FANCY & PEACHES
This tiny bonded pair were just dropped off at another rescue with no explanation and we have no idea why. That rescue did not have room for them so we stepped in to offer them sanctuary. Fancy is about 9 years old and a 4.5 lb. Miniature Poodle and Peaches is 5 years old and a 9 lb. Chihuahua mix. Peaches wants to be with a person 24/7 while Fancy is slightly more independent. They are quintessential lap dogs and would be perfect for someone who is home a lot or who is retired. Fancy is a little more active and really enjoys her walks, Peaches would prefer a shorter walk but she never leaves Fancy so she always tags along. They are so sweet and such a happy pair. They deserve to have a warm, loving home of their very own.
PIXIE
This super-friendly 8 year old Terrier was found as a stray and turned into animal control. It’s so hard to imagine no one came looking for her. She has instantly become a volunteer favorite here. She greets everyone she meets with a wag, is gentle and loving with every person she meets. She keeps her room here incredibly neat, gets along just fine with other dogs her own size which is about 12 lbs. and walks nicely on a leash. We believe she would make a wonderful addition to any home.
BOWIE
“I have watched so many of my friends here go to their forever homes and I wonder when my chance will be coming? I have been here for going on 3 years. I live here with other dogs my own size and while I get along fine with them I would prefer to be the center of your world and to live in an adult only home. I am about 10 years old and a Chihuahua / Terrier mix. I am small at just 10 lbs. so I would do great in any type of home. I am super tidy so you will never need to worry about any type of mess if you pick me. I still enjoy longer walks and when I am not doing that you can expect me to be quietly playing with my toys, chewing on my nylabone, or snuggling with you.”
