Supporting Local Businesses
Black Santa Clarita Valley (BSCV) has several roles within our local community. One of those roles is to promote and support local businesses. Across the nation, the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic has disproportionately affected and devastated small businesses, especially minoritized businesses. With this in mind, we envisioned a way to support those businesses during these unprecedented times. In the past few months, we have played an integral part in not only spotlighting local businesses but promoting them in such a way that has expanded their reach and increased their profitability. We have spoken to many local business owners who state that our actions have helped them to reach new patrons, increase revenue, and restore a sense of community at this time. We at BSCV will continue to promote and support cooperative economics as it is one of our core missions and we are dedicated to continuing our work in this area.
