The Brittany Foundation – Finding Their Forever Home

by | Dec 23, 2020 | Pet Services

A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.

HOLLY
Holly needs a hiking partner! This beautiful 5 year old German (aka Standard) Pinscher mix has had a pretty rough go. She was adopted as a puppy, then returned to the rescue she was adopted from. She has lived at that rescue for the past 2 years and now that rescue closed so she is now with us. We are looking for an active adult-only home for her where she can finally feel the stability of a loving home. So far we can tell you she loves long walks, adores her toy collection and once she trusts you the kisses are plentiful. If you are looking for a faithful friend and a great workout partner Holly is the girl for you.

ZOEY
This striking 2 year old is not only beautiful but very smart. She knows many basic commands, loves long walks and adores every person she meets. She is very active so she needs a person who is committed to daily physical activity and an experienced adopter. She is very athletic so minimum 6 foot fences are required to be considered as a potential adopter. They say she is a Cattle Dog, Malamute, Shepherd with a tad of Grey Wolf. In any event there is no doubt she is stunning. We think she would do best as an only dog in the home with no young children but with proper training and socialization we think she could be introduced to other dogs. With structure and guidance from the right person we think the sky’s the limit in what Zoey could learn to do.

JAKE
If your New Year’s resolution is more about binge watching your favorite shows, this is the perfect guy for you. This big bundle of goofy love has been with us for over 2 years. He loves lounging on his couch, chewing on Nylabones, short walks and can be a bit of a Cookie Monster. We think he is a mix of American Bulldog and American Staffordshire. He was adopted as a puppy and then returned to us when they got another dog when he was 10 years old. But despite losing his home and family he has only ever been kind to every person he has ever met here and seamlessly adjusted to living outdoors in a kennel. We would love to find a warm and loving foster home where he will be the center of someone’s world.

BOWIE
We rescued Bowie on New Years Eve 2018 from a high kill shelter and here we are in 2021 and he is still with us. We are just not sure why? We think he is about 10 years old and a Chihuahua with a touch of Corgie thrown in for good measure. He walks lovely on a leash, lives here with other dogs his own size and keeps his room incredibly neat. He still enjoys toys and Nylabones but mostly he is just looking for a person of his very own. He’s a wonderful cuddler and would be so happy just watching a movie on the couch with you. We think he would be happiest as an only dog in an adult home. If you are looking for a loyal friend to start this New Year off right, this is the guy for you.
