Preventing Tooth Decay
The obvious way to prevent tooth decay is to brush and floss at least twice a day. Make sure to see your dentist at least twice a year for early detection, examination and regular cleaning appointments.
There are many factors that can help reduce your risks of getting decay. Straight teeth are significantly easier to keep clean. If your teeth are not straight, orthodontics with standard braces or Invisalign are great options with a beautiful smile as an added bonus. Having misaligned teeth causes food getting stuck in between teeth. Pharmaceuticals are also very helpful to this generation. CariFree mouth rinse is one of the products we truly believed in. It has a pH of 9 that helps lower your mouth’s bacterial count and neutralizes the acidity. It contains xylitol, which is known and proven to break the bond between the bacteria and your teeth. It also has a low dose of fluoride to make your teeth healthy and strong. These ingredients help create a cavity fighting environment that is not conducive to cavity causing bacterial.
Your diet and general health also play a major role in preventing tooth decay. Diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer can create an environment that promotes acidity and bacterial, this raising your decay risks. Eating healthy and getting some good exercise to keep your body strong can improve your resistance to more damaging types of bacteria that can cause tooth decay.
