Our Students Deserve Success
Last month, we were proud to announce the Santa Clarita Valley’s first Junior Kindergarten program. This program has been designed to utilize both TK and Kindergarten curriculum while focusing on the Kindergarten standards.
We created Junior Kindergarten to meet the needs of those students who turn 5 years old between July 1st and September 1st – a group who until now, fell in between the age gap of public-school programs in the SCV.
Our reason for creating this new program was simple – we saw a need in our community and felt it was our responsibility to meet that need and find new and inventive ways of serving our students. Providing our students and our community with unparalleled opportunities for success always has been, and always will be our main priority.
All students, no matter what grade they are in, deserve to have their success, education, and well-being be put first. Whether it is adapting our teaching model to meet the needs of the class, integrating the arts, or taking the extra time to make sure a student has all of the tools necessary for success, every person at the Newhall School District shares in this goal of student success and will do everything in their power to meet that goal.
With student success always being our main priority, we are continuing to offer open enrollment to all elementary students in and around the Santa Clarita Valley. We can guarantee that an education from the Newhall School District will set your child down the path to a successful future.
We are hosting a virtual open house on April 21st at 6:30pm to answer questions regarding the new Junior Kindergarten program and enrollment in any one of our ten award winning schools. If you are interested, or would like more information, please contact Rosana Valadez at 661-291-4163.
We welcome you and your student to the Newhall School District, and we look forward to sharing in their success!
