The Gentle Barn Re-Opening
After a very long year of being closed to the public because of the pandemic, we are starting to offer some options for families to come visit. We are still not open on Sundays to the public, but we have opened two exciting programs: Cow Hug Therapy and private tours.
Cow Hug Therapy sessions are for anyone who has had a hard time over the last year and needs a good hug. Come meet our cows, hug them, meditate with them in the barnyard, and cuddle with our newest family member, John Lewis, a seven-month-old calf who is full of joy and happiness. Cows are grounded, fully in present time, and know who they are. Being in their energy helps to level out our own energy and ground us. And they are so loving and kind that a good hug makes us all feel recharged and whole again.
Private tours are for anyone who would like to hug cows, feed horses, give pigs tummy rubs, hold chickens, cuddle turkeys, pet goats and sheep, here stories of resilience, and leave feeling hopeful, inspired, and uplifted. There is so much bliss in our barnyard, come be a part of it!
The Gentle Barn is a national non-profit organization located in Santa Carita with locations in St Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee as well. We are home to animals rescued from severe abuse and neglect, and host to anyone who loves animals or who wants to learn more about their personalities, affections, and magic. We are currently hosting virtual tours, field trips, zoom hacks, and birthday parties, and in person tours. Check out our website, www.gentlebarn.org and follow The Gentle Barn on Face Book, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Come fall in love!
