The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – August 2021
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption
ARCHIE
I was picked up as a stray in 2020 and taken to a county shelter before I was rescued and brought here to Brittany Foundation. I was only here for a short time before I was adopted but, unfortunately, it was not working out for them so I was returned back here after 7 months. I love to cuddle and prefer to have another doggy friend in the home. The staff here are always singing my praises. They say I am sweet, a great co-pilot, loving, enjoy long walks, belly rubs and snuggling on the couch. I am 8 years old and about 12 lbs. I get along just fine with other dogs my own size and children. They think I am a Jack Russell and Rat Terrier mix. If you are looking for a perfect addition to your family, I am the one for you.
LIAM & LOLLA
This beautiful bonded pair with poodle hair lived in one home for 10 years before being surrendered here because their person lost their home. We think they are Poochons, which is Poodle / Bichon. They are inseparable and must be placed together. They love people, get along fine with other dogs and we have discovered they are gentle and loving with children too. Lolla takes one medication daily for her thyroid but there is a possibility this is just temporary and Liam takes an anti-inflammatory to help with his knee. This precious pair wants nothing more than to live in a home again — could that be with you?
BOWIE
This little guy has been with us for 3 years and we are just not sure why? He is a little unsure of men but with reassurance and patience we think he would do just fine. He is about 10 years old and a Chihuahua with a tad of Corgi. He walks lovely on a leash, lives here with other dogs his own size and keeps his room incredibly neat. He still enjoys toys and Nylabones but mostly he is just looking for a person of his very own. He’s a wonderful cuddler and would be so content just watching a movie on the couch with you. We think he would be happiest as an only dog, in an adult home. If you are looking for a loyal friend that would never leave your side, look no more.
TUZO
This frisky little fella is just 7 lbs. and lived in one home for 12 years before being surrendered here. His family said they were moving and could not take him with them. Despite all of that, he has adjusted to living here beautifully. We were told he is a Yorkie with a fair measure of Chihuahua. What we can be certain of, is that he is a little love who could fit right into any home. He is extremely friendly, loves his walks and is quite proud of his toy collection. His gait is a little off from an injury that was never treated and did not heal properly, but that does not slow him down one bit, so it shouldn’t worry you at all. If tiny, smiling seniors steal your heart, he’s the guy for you.
