Agua Dulce Winery – It’s On Our Doorstep
Agua Dulce Winery is a fabulous family getaway offering Wine Tasting, Cellar Tours and special events throughout the year. All of this occurs amidst the lush 100 acres of Los Angeles County’s largest vineyard and winery. Agua Dulce Winery has become the much talked about local destination amongst wine enthusiasts throughout Southern California. Located in Santa Clarita Valley, a mere 25 miles northeast of the San Fernando Valley, Agua Dulce Winery is the centerpiece of the prestigious Sierra Pelona Valley Wine Appellation, and has produced over 150 national and international wine awards.
Agua Dulce Winery appeals to every level of wine enthusiast, beginning with the novice who wants to learn more about wine and wine tasting, all the way up to the “cork dork,” who has developed a sophisticated palette and is looking for that rare gem to share with their wine group. Visitors are offered the rare opportunity to tour the State of the Art Cellar, which houses over 1,000 French, Hungarian and American Oak barrels.
In addition to wine tasting, Agua Dulce Winery offers guests the opportunity to stroll through the vineyard and not only see a vineyard in bloom, but actually touch the vines. In Spring, the vineyards’ small immature grape clusters, are just about to bloom, after which, they will develop over the next 120 days into the large, sumptuous, seven pound clumps of navy blue, purple and green grapes, which will be harvested and made into wine during the fall. This “vine to bottle” facility produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah, Sangiovese, Chardonnay and our Club Member favorites Sweetwater Rose and Award Winning Reserve Port. A visit to Agua Dulce Winery is a memorable experience to share with family and Agua Dulce Winery is located at 9640 Sierra Highway, Agua Dulce, California, 91390. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. For a calendar of events please visit www.aguadulcewinery.com or call (661-268-7402.
