Magic Paints the Wind
Magic Paints the Wind came to us as a colt but was very sad when he arrived. Magic was brought to us by his family who went through a divorce and tragically, he paid the heaviest price. He took quite a long time getting to know us and trust us, but once he did, he learned to love life at The Gentle Barn. Magic grew up playing with the other horses, going for long walks with his staff, and took long naps in the pasture while the other horses watched over him. Magic is very smart and likes to stay busy. He has learned many tricks to show off, perform, and gain applause. Magic likes it when we ask him questions and will nod his head for “yes” and shake his head for “no”. He can count up to ten by pawing at the ground, give kisses, and can even bow! These are not things that we have taught him, these are things Magic came up with and taught us the cues. He loves carrots and cookies but hearing the sound of guests clapping is his all time favorite!
Thismonth Magic turns fourteen! We will be celebrating all month long with birthday cake, songs, bedtime cookies, and most importantly, lots of praise and applause! Please come visit The Gentle Barn, meet Magic and all his friends, and celebrate his fourteenth birthday with us any Sunday 10-2. We are also open for private tours, cow hug therapy sessions, animal assisted therapy, and our literacy program for kids needing help in school. Come see us soon, and Magic might even give you a kiss!
