The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
Lilly
She lost her home and her family after they became too ill to care for her and there were no family members who could take her. Things were really starting to look up for her, until one morning we noticed she was not her normal bubbly self. We rushed her to the vet and after several days she was finally diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. She is now doing great and is running all over the place here at The Ranch. She is 8 years old, 12 lbs. and a Maltese mix. She does take one pill a day but other than that she is doing very well.
If you are interested in adopting or fostering Lilly, please fill out an application on our website. Her doctor is located in Santa Clarita so we would like any potential fosters to be in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Chesney
This gentle old soul is one of four dogs that were surrendered to us from the same home when the person they lived with said she was moving and could not take them with her. He has now been with us for almost a year and we are not quite sure why. He is loving and affectionate to every person he meets and enjoys short leisurely walks. He is great on a leash, good with other dogs and is a laid-back traveling companion. We think he is around 13 years old, 60 lbs. and possibly a Labrador/Boxer mix but we can never really know for sure. If frosted faces steal your heart, then he’s the one for you.
Daisy Mae
She is confident, fearless, clever, spirited and a bit of a comedian at times. She is 7 years old, 18 lbs. and a Miniature Pinscher. As is characteristic of this breed she adores people and forms a deep bond with them. In addition, she’s a great little watchdog and lives with several other dogs her own size here so we think she would be just fine in a home with other dogs. She is loads of fun and always up for anything. She is with us because she was thrown out of a car by people who were supposed to care for her. Despite all that she has endured, she greets everyone with her million-watt smile and tail wagging.
Yang
This adorable senior was surrendered here along with 2 other Shih Tzus when the person with whom they lived their entire lives decided they no longer fit into her life plans. The other two pups have found their forever homes and now it’s Yang’s turn. He is 12 years old, 18 lbs. and a purebred Shih Tzu. He is a special needs pup who is dealing with a few health issues but none too serious. He is on special food to help his kidneys function better and a heart murmur has been detected so it’s possible that a daily medication will be needed in the future but right now he takes no daily pills. He is a big squishy puddle of love, playful with other dogs and enjoys his daily walks. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Yang, please fill out an application on our website. His doctor is located in Santa Clarita so we would like any potential fosters to be in the Santa Clarita Valley.
