Finding People, Places, and Play
Today it’s so easy to find “stuff”. We find it in our homes, at the stores, online…everywhere. What’s odd is that I am not a big believer in buying more “stuff”. Considering that I am a boutique owner that is kind of weird to admit. Instead, I would say that I advocate for living life to its biggest and brightest potential and that my reason for creating a business like this is in service of that idea.
During this time of year, we start to think about the gifting season coming and reminisce about the months that have already gone by. It is a season of showing thanks and feeling a sense of gratitude for the many blessings around us. These blessings often include remembering the people, places and times at play that weave the story of our year. That is why Laura and I will never ask our great community of clients to just buy “stuff” when they come to visit our four walls. Buy something that celebrates grit, joy, empathy, warmth, and the milestones of life in all its glory.
Over the next few weeks it is very likely you will be making a purchase to celebrate the season ahead. It is our hope that any purchase you make, hopefully in support of many of the small businesses here in Santa Clarita is a story of you. Create memories that remind you of your best life, who you are, what you aspire it to be, and who was there along the journey. In my story, I wanted to find community, friendship, creativity, energy and play at a place that encourages and supports these values. Why not have a special place that you can experience these things and tell the story of your life and instead of “stuff” you will find that you have a carefully curated gallery of treasures. This is our wish for our community and why we are here. This is how we would love the season of giving to begin, in gratitude for the joy and laughter that our community has brought us so far this year.
