Warm Up Your Winter at Oakmont Senior Living
I know a lot of people who say that winter is their favorite time of year. Many of us look forward with great anticipation to the holidays. It’s during the colder season that we most enjoy celebrating with family and friends. We enjoy lots of delicious food. We gather around the fireplace to stay warm. We keep in touch with the people for whom we care the most, and we remember it is better to give than to receive.
Winter can also come with difficulties. The colder weather and the rainy Januarys we have come to expect here in Santa Clarita can be hazardous. Sometimes when we are trying to stay safer at home, isolation can become just as dangerous to our mental wellbeing as the turbulent storms outside can be to our physical health. Seniors are most vulnerable to this, and it’s more important than ever to stay connected and make sure their needs are acknowledged.
At Oakmont, residents and their family members can safely enjoy winter events such engaging games, workshops, happy hours, our educational lecture series, group excursions, movies in our Oakmont theater, classes, exercise opportunities and more – while carefully maintaining health and safety measures associated with COVID and FLU.
Come for a visit and Megan or Jason can sit with you by one of our many fireplaces and discuss what we can bring to the lives of the older adults you love most in the world. Call us at (661) 568-6080 to schedule a visit at Oakmont of Valencia or Oakmont of Santa Clarita. We look forward to meeting you soon!
