Meet the Owners of Valley Lyons Veterinary
From the age of 7, Alex just knew that she was going to be a veterinarian. Since then, she has dedicated herself to always being the very best vet that she could be for her patients. Her goal is to treat all pets as if they were her own and provide them with the very best care.
Dr. Swope grew up in Van Nuys and La Crescenta before moving to the Inland Empire for her undergraduate and graduate schools. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly Pomona and went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.
She’s finally settled down in Shadow Hills, where she shares her home and life with 6 border collies, 1 chihuahuas, a pig, 8 kitties, 5 horses, and a flock of chickens. Oh yeah, and two humans!
Dani Sedano, Hospital Administrator, Dani began her veterinary career as a receptionist for a small animal clinic in Palmdale, Ca. After meeting husband and Co-Owner, Joel Sedano in the industry, Dani eventually moved to the San Fernando Valley, where she continued as a Technician Assistant the same veterinary clinic as Joel. It was then that Dani found she had a passion for hospital administration and management.
Dani furthered her education and training by earning her Certified Veterinary Practice Management Accreditation, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Human Resource Management from National University.
Joel Sedano, Veterinary Technician
Joel began his career as a kennel attendant for a small veterinary clinic in the San Fernando Valley at the young age of 15. From that point on he knew he had a passion for the industry and would eventually, one day, own a veterinary clinic. Over the next 15years Joel has worked diligently to perfect his technician skills to become an RVT. Not only is Joel a very talented technician, he is also a skilled Practice and Inventory manager.
Joel is married to Co-Owner Dani and together they have 4 dogs, 3 horses, 7 sheep and a flock of chickens. Dani and Joel also have two baby boys, Leo age 3 ½, and Donnie who just turned 2 in January.
