Your Story is My Story – March 2022
I’m so excited to introduce you to my clients and forever friends, Nancy and Pete Fisher. I was volunteering at Henry Mayo Hospital working at the visitor front desk. Nancy volunteered in the Gift Shop and of course, I was in there all the time. That’s where I met Nancy, she and I became fast friends. She’s the type of person you want to be around, she draws people in with her vivacious personality, kind heart, and faith. She’s also a lot of fun, we sure had a lot of belly laughs. Pete started volunteering with Nancy, we’d see them together all the time helping people. They had been residents in Santa Clarita since 2008 believing they would be here forever, they absolutely loved living here. They were extremely active in their church, volunteered at the Food Pantry, held block parties on their cul-de-sac and would always volunteer for extra activities at Henry Mayo. You can imagine their circle of friends. She and Pete were living the retired life in their “retirement home.” This was going to be their last home, they were set. One morning I get a text, “Holly, we’ve decided to move to Benson, North Carolina to be close to our family and grandchildren. We need your help.” I didn’t know if I should be happy, overjoyed or start crying. I absolutely love Pete and Nancy, everyone does.”What do you mean you’re moving? You can’t leave us!” Well, as we all know, never say never. I went to their home and we set a plan of action keeping it quiet until we knew for sure everything was going to happen. I personally helped them from start to finish, basically held their hands until they were on their way to their new adventure. I stay in touch with Pete and Nancy, and no surprise to any of us, she’s having Pizza Party’s, baking cookies for all the new neighbors, volunteering at the Food Pantry, and active in their church spreading their joy. In the beginning of 2020 I had five clients call to move out of state, it’s bittersweet for me. I become close with them and then wave goodbye. Even though it’s sad for me, it makes me so happy that their story is now part of my story. This is what I do, I don’t “sell houses” I help people fulfill their dreams, their adventures. I sell from my heart and I am so grateful they chose me to be part of their story. This is what I love doing. I could tell you everything about me, all the experience I have, all the sales I’ve had, but bottom line is no one cares what you know until they know you care. I care. I know a lot of Pete and Nancy’s friends will love reading about them, if you want to reach out to them I have their contact information. They’d love to hear from you. Sincerely, Holly
