Your Story is My Story
I am so excited to tell you about my client, my friend Laura Conant. Last November Laura reached out to me in regards to buying her first home. We met at Salt Creek Grille and discussed her plans. I wanted to know her story and see how I could help her. She told me how she had met an American man in her home country of Peru. They moved to the US, married and had a little girl, Ally. Things didn’t work out and Laura found herself a single mom couch surfing with her daughter.
With the help of a kind man he rented one of his apartments to her at a reasonable price. Soon after she got a job in Aerospace in 2003. She also found a job as a server at The Oaks Club in 2014.
Laura has been working seven days a week at both jobs for years. Her daughter Ally is graduating from Berkeley in May. It’s been a long road for Laura working two jobs and raising her exemplary daughter that any parent would be proud of. Not only has Laura been saving money but also helping Ally with school expenses. After I heard her story I told Laura, “I’m going to hold your hand and make it my priority to help you buy your first home.” With the help of Anna Shaterkin at Loan Depot she got Laura a pre-approval and off we went to find Laura a condo.
We lost out on a couple places, but the third time was a charm. We beat out multiple offers on a condo and closed escrow within 30 days. Laura is now living the American Dream and couldn’t be happier. This is what I love doing, helping people with their dreams and goals. I am so honored that Laura trusted me to help her. I love helping people. No matter what road you’re on, how difficult it might be, I strive to get you on a plan, whether it’s a month or a year. I’ll listen, hold your hand and get you to your destination. I love that Laura’s story is now my story.
I’d be happy to hear from you, Call me, Holly Hanlin at 661-645-1334.
