It’s Dads and Grads Season: Role Model Time! And We Model Success at Newhall School District!
For little ones, superheroes – dads and graduating older siblings – abound during Dads and Grads season. Dreams of “I hope to someday be like them,” lift hopeful young minds, carrying them aloft to new worlds of possibilities.
Patience, Kids…That day will come.
Patience is a quality that has been required in great quantities of Newhall School District students over the last two years, which have been marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. NSD asked it of them, and they came through: Like responsible little adults, and outstanding graduates.
But at NSD we practice what we preach, and all of our teachers and administrators worked extra hard to engage students during distance learning, ensuring they had access to technology and providing additional social emotional supports for students in crisis.
And that effort paid off: Newhall School District and ALL TEN of its campuses – McGrath, Meadows, Newhall, Oak Hills, Old Orchard, Peachland Avenue, Pico Canyon, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia Valley, and Wiley Canyon – are winners of the 2022 California Pivotal Practice (CAPP) Award Program, a new initiative that lauds creativity and innovation implemented to meet COVID-19 challenges during the 2020-21 school year. Another gratefully received award for what were already California Distinguished Schools.
Like the dads and older siblings our students look up to, at NSD we help the children entrusted to us to become winners in life, even under adverse circumstances.
Our motto is “Empowering Every Child Every Day,” and Newhall School District students make their families proud as they go on to achieve at higher levels, thanks to NSD’s whole-student development philosophy, which combines the strengthening of students’ minds, bodies, and values.
While our campuses are located in the Santa Clarita Valley, our schools are open to all children, even those living outside district boundaries. And enrollment in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th Grade is possible throughout the year.
As the world opens up more and more while we cautiously continue to put the COVID crisis behind us, isn’t it time to open up a new world of possibilities for the education and development of your child – your future accomplished Dad/Mom or Grad – at Newhall School District?
Simply visit www.NewHallSchoolDistrict.com, or call Rosana Valadez (in English or en Español) at (661) 291-4163 to start the enrollment process.
NEW ideas, NEW friendships, NEW beginnings— A NEW WORLD OF ATTAINABLE DREAMS. That’s Newhall School District, where the child comes first!
