Rocket Fizz For Your Bit of Nostalgia
Our childhood holds many memories of family, friends, fun and moments we can’t forget. When we choose to take a walk down memory lane,
we also hold sweet memories of food, be it, a special family dinner or desserts we savored or a piece of candy or soda pop we loved! It’s always fun remembering that favorite food or drink we enjoyed as a kid, or in high school or even college.
Do you remember the first time you tasted a new piece of candy or drank a certain soda pop for the first time and suddenly your smell and taste
buds went wild? From that moment on you sealed the taste and love that candy triggered.
Researchers have found that eating sweets stimulates neurons in the portion of the brain linked to episodic memories which controls one’s ability to recall a previous experience from a specific place and time. Candy with it’s taste, smell and texture can illicit those reminiscent memories not just of food but of the place and setting and is an effective trigger of deeper memories and feelings and emotions and of nostalgia in our brain. Nostalgia is defined as the yearning of wistful attachment of the past.
If you’re yearning to take a trip down memory lane then we know the place and what’s called for….old time candy and soda pop. It’s popular and so retro and so much fun and yum!
Rocket Fizz wishes you and your family a safe and Happy 4th of July. We look forward to your visit.
