The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – July 2022
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
ZOEY
She needs a home now. She has been with us for over 2 years and she is only 3 years old. She’s smart, athletic, and loves hiking, walking, and playing with toys. She even splashes around in a kiddie pool and has her own in her kennel here. She adores everyone she meets and is quite a formidable tug partner. She requires an active household, space to run, and a high yard fence. She can climb a 6-foot wall with ease. She has a lot of energy that sometimes needs to be reigned in, but she also has loads of potential. As a result, for the right adopter, we are offering free training sessions with our trainer.
SNOOPY
Those ears! This little guy is with us because his person became too sick to care for him. He is energetic, enjoys walks, and loves nothing more than to just be right next to a person. We think he is about 7 years old and weighs about 20 lbs. We think he’s a Fox Terrier mix. He is a selective dog, so it would be ideal if he could be the “one and only” in his new home. If you are looking for a loyal best friend who will never leave your side, then this is the guy for you.
MELINDA
We rescued her from a county shelter in December of 2021. She is a 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel, which is one of the most beloved breeds in the world. She is independent, up for anything, gets along with other dogs, and loves her walks, but içs just as happy to follow you around. She has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which is a condition where the adrenal glands over produce certain hormones. She does take daily medication to manage this condition, along with heart and liver medication. For these reasons, she is considered special needs. We really want to find an experienced special-needs forever foster for this sweet girl in Santa Clarita, where her veterinarian is located. We all want to see this sweet angel in a home of her very own.
KIWI
She is just 3 years old, weighs about 40 lbs. and is with us because her family said they were moving and could not take her with them. She was understandably very confused when she first arrived here, but has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone here. She is so happy and full of life. We think she would do best with an active person or family. She loves to play, cuddle, and we have recently discovered she loves the kiddie pool too. She is a little anxious when she first meets new people, but that all changes very quickly with her. As far as what breed she is, we really do not know. Maybe Basenji based on her ears and coat color, but we would only be guessing. We do know that her striking coat and amber eyes make her a rare beauty.
