Back to School is Harvest Time: At Newhall School District, We Know Children Are Society’s Harvest of Knowledge and Success
Over the summer, your children most likely grew. A lot. Physically, mentally, socially. Through play and exercise most definitely, but also by interacting with others and engaging in cognitive activities: from attending summer camp to practicing sports, traveling, visiting family and friends not seen the rest of the year, reading, taking summer classes, playing electronic games, watching movies, pursuing a new hobby, even possibly helping out around the house more – all things for which they had more time than during the school year.
And whether your child is in a rush to get back to school or dragging their feet this fall, at Newhall School District we know that once the school year starts, they will eventually get into the new groove of their “job” as children: to grow and learn. And we will make learning special for them: through our teaching, support, and encouragement. Our motto is “Empowering Every Child Every Day.”
Like nourishing, well-watered soil ensures a rich crop, our attention to your child’s needs will help them thrive. Newhall School District students go on to achieve at higher levels thanks to NSD’s whole-student development philosophy, which combines the strengthening of students’ minds, bodies, and values.
All ten NSD campuses – McGrath, Meadows, Newhall, Oak Hills, Old Orchard, Peachland, Pico Canyon, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia Valley, and Wiley Canyon – are award-winning schools within an award-winning school district. And while our campuses are located in the Santa Clarita Valley, our schools are open to all children, even those living outside district boundaries.
This summer, while your children were camping or swimming or trying to figure out a new whodunit or doing their chores, they were growing – both in knowledge and character. We know that at NSD, the job of all of us, from the most seasoned teacher to the newest administrator, is to draw from the children in our care the infinite potential that is already in them. They are, after all, our society’s harvest – the only thing that can sustain us into the future. That’s why at Newhall School District, the child comes first!
Enrollment in Universal Preschool (“UPK” formerly “TK”) through 6th Grade is possible all year-round; but why not enroll your child now so they can start the new school year right: at Newhall School District! Please visit www.NewhallSchoolDistrict.com or call Rosana Valadez (in English or en Español) at (661) 291-4163 to start the enrollment process for your child.
