Is Summer Over Yet?
We had so much fun in the Santa Clarita 4th of July Parade! I was amazed at the turnout and energy of the crowds that lined the streets. After a long day of parade preparation and waving, I was glad to relax and watch the fantastic firework shows around the city.
This Summer our Junkluggers have been incredibly busy. We have the normal de-cluttering and cleanup jobs, several commercial jobs, and more big furniture removals than ever. Several of our customers are preparing for big moves. Some are moving out of state and others are moving down the street to a smaller home. In both cases, they are getting rid of a lot of furniture. Sometimes we get called weeks in advance to be a part of the planning process. Other times, we get called midway through the job, when people realize the job is just too much for them.
Our oldest daughter graduated from college and just moved into her first place. My husband and I are both in our early 50’s and “volunteered” to help her move her things to her new third floor, walk-up apartment. I don’t know if it was the hottest day of Summer, but it had to be close. After making multiple trips up and down those stairs, I suddenly sympathized with those folks that call us midway through the job! We called in some help to carry the big stuff and spent a much more enjoyable afternoon helping her unpack and organize the apartment.
If you are ready to tackle that big project, clean out the garage, tear down that old shed, or need to downsize, we are here to help. As always, we will do what we can to keep your unwanted items out of the landfill by recycling, re-using, or re-purposing. Give us a call 800-LUG-JUNK.
