Meet the Candidate Selina Thomas Running for City Council

With approximately 60 days to go until the midterm elections on November 8th Selina Thomas, Candidate for Santa Clarita City can see the long awaited finish line on the horizon.
“After November 2, 2020 I literally never stop working in our community. I had run 113 days and all virtually last cycle. I knew what I had to do to share my desire and intention to serve this community. I took all the lessons I learned and gave myself the time that’s needed to raise money and align myself with the correct team and organizations. In doing so I developed and grew in a ways I could have never imagined. What I learned deepened my resolve to press forward and prove myself to the constituents and leadership that I am ready.”
With her youngest daughter now a junior at Saugus High and two daughters of to college Selina feels her family is ready this next big chapter in all of their lives.
“In the last 12 years I raised all three of my daughters here as a single mom. I positioned them well by living here. The schools and athletics literally helped me raise them. All four of us, myself and my three daughters represent what can be accomplished in Santa Clarita.”
As the CEO/Owner of 6 Degrees HR Consulting her company specifically helps other business owners with outsourced Selina is poised and prepared for the final stretch of this race. “I am a homeowner, business owner, parent, proud board member of
the Wish Education foundation and the Santa Clarita International Film Festival. As a stakeholder the community I am invested in the results that leadership has. In the business community I have earned my stripes if you will and that credibility lends itself to my candidacy. I can’t say that I could’ve accomplished all of these things living anywhere else. It is fair to say that why I am successful in so many ways is because of the fertile soil that Santa Clarita has for all things being possible here.”
“The finish line is November 8th for this race. My goal is to begin another chapter of service on November 9th as councilwoman elect.”
