The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – September 2022
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
MELINDA
We rescued her from the Lancaster County shelter in December of 2021. She is a 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel, which is one of the most beloved breeds in the world. She is independent, up for anything, gets along with other dogs, loves walks but is just as happy to follow you around. She has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which is a condition where the adrenal glands over-produce certain hormones. She does take daily medication to manage this condition, along with heart and liver medications. For these reasons, she is considered special-needs. We want to find an experienced special-needs forever foster for this sweet girl in Santa Clarita, where her veterinarian is located. A forever foster provides a loving home and we take care of the rest. We all want to see this sweet angel in a home of her very own. Do you have that home?
HUDA
This little guy’s life was turned upside down when his person passed away a year ago. He was then left with a family member who became too ill to care for him, and then he was given to a person who became homeless, so he was picked up by animal control. He was nervous when they picked him up and was labeled “rescue only,” meaning a rescue needed to pull him from the Castaic County shelter, which we did. He has made incredible progress during his time here. He is happy to see people and runs up to them for love and attention. He enjoys his walks and spending time running around with his roommate, Boots. We think Huda would thrive in a calm home with people who would give him days filled with lots of love and attention. We have been told he is about 8 years old and a long-haired Chihuahua / Papillion mix.
