Moments of Joy for the Holiday Season
Oakmont of Valencia and Oakmont of Santa Clarita are incredibly grateful to all who came out to Bridgeport Park last month to support The Walk to End Alzheimer’s! It was a beautiful, well attended event. The “Walk” has been and will continue to be dedicated to fundraising for research and bringing hope to so many who are committed to finding recovery from this devastating illness.
Our fight against Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia continues as we prepare this holiday season for our highly anticipated annual Oakmont Holiday Bake Sale! A portion of each sale will benefit organizations that advocate for a cure. Our award-winning desserts make delicious additions to any holiday party. This event begins at both of our Oakmont locations in the SCV on November 1st and runs through December 30th. Choose from Homemade Roasted Pumpkin Pie, Vanilla Bean Cranberry Bundt Cake with Orange Plum Glaze, or Dutch Apple Pie with Toasted Pecan and Oatmeal Streusel. Call us for details to reserve one for your family during this season of giving and gratitude. They are made to order, so they do require some advance notice prior to pick-up.
Autumn is in the air and the leaves are changing colors. It’s time to light the Oakmont fireplaces! Stop by for a visit to experience the delightful, holiday-inspired moments we bring to our residents and their families who enjoy our luxurious assisted living and memory care communities. I recently learned that the oak leaf is symbolic of strength, hospitality, endurance, stability, and honor. These characteristics are reflections of who we are and what we do for our residents every day. Give us a call at (661) 568-6080 at Oakmont of Valencia or (661) 295-2025 at Oakmont of Santa Clarita. We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season!
