STREAM Turns 8
On December 1st, 2022 STREAM Turns 8 Gala and Fundraiser will celebrate STREAM Global Innovations’ eighth year of being a leading youth-founded 501(c)3 nonprofit that connects the dots between education and career within Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Manufacturing.
Since 2015, STREAM has been putting its mission in motion by ensuring students have equal access to growing, equitable, sustainable, and resilient academic and workforce collaborative experiences.
Founded by the now 21-year-old LA-based Award-Winning Philanthropist and Speaker Niamani Knight when she was 13 years old, alongside the President of the organization, her mother, Nikia Richards, STREAM Global has successfully served over 33,000 people thus far through interactive exhibitions, industry expert exposure, virtual activations, and peer support. However, through online publications, STREAM has successfully reached and impacted over 100 million globally thus far.
This year’s theme is titled Under the STREAM, inspired by all the individuals, entities, and organizations that have had an integral role in bringing STREAM to life and, as a result helping to make a difference in the lives of many students, their families, schools, and communities.
This year’s celebration will have a special interactive space for guests to have the opportunity to have a first-hand experience and inside look at what the youth are most impacted by during S.T.R.E.A.M activations. In addition, there will be dinner for families, the community, artists, and more to come together to make a difference. During the event, each guest is encouraged to bring an unwrapped new toy that will be donated to deserving youth and their communities throughout Los Angeles County in partnership with the Los Angeles CHP, where officers will help S.T.R.E.A.M deliver the gifts to families in need throughout LA before Christmas time.
