Car Washes Save Water
As California continues historic drought conditions it is important that all residents do their part to reduce waterusage. One of the most significant steps car owners can take to save water is using a professional car wash as opposed to driveway washing.
Driveway car washes that use a bucket and hose can take up to 100 gallons of water to wash a car according to International Car Wash Association Watersavers. A professional car wash is responsible for using a reclaim watersystem that reduces waste. Used car wash water goes into an underground clarifier and is cleaned and pumped back on the next car (Only the final rinse is fresh water.)
Driveway car washing is not only bad for water usage but the soap and chemicals used in the wash process gets washed down the driveway, gutter, storm drains and eventually the ocean. Professional car washes reclaim the water and any soaps and chemicals used goes into the sewer system and out of the environment.
Choosing a Professional car wash to keep your car clean is the environmentally best choice. Together with the right choices we will weather our current drought conditions while maintaining clean cars.
