Monthly Message Mayor Jason Gibbs Return of Cowboy Festival

This new location will host all of your favorite Cowboy Festival activities, live music, vendors and food (cowboy cobbler!), while also incorporating your favorite Old Town Newhall restaurants, boutiques and tasting rooms. Get ready to stroll down Main Street and try your hand at axe-throwing, get your toes tapping to some country-western music, shop western wares and indulge in delicious food and drinks.
Leading up to the Cowboy Festival on Thursday evening, a Wild Wild West SENSES Block Party will be held on Main Street on Thursday, April 20 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. and will feature live music, themed activities, an on-street bar and more. The Walk of Western Stars will unveil its 2023 inductees on Friday, April 21. This event will commemorate the inductees’ contributions to Western entertainment history by immortalizing their names in bronze and terrazzo tile, stamped into the streets of Old Town Newhall.
Saturday and Sunday, plan to be on Main Street for all the cowboy fun and activities. The Cowboy Festival is free to attend; however, there will be special ticketed evening performances at the Canyon Theatre Guild and the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts in Newhall. Details and ticket information for special events, as well as opportunities to volunteer, will be available at CowboyFestival.org. I’ll see you on Main Street for the return of the City of Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival!
